UNICEF Tajikistan seeks to engage a national consultant to provide temporary, specialized and deliverable-based technical, analytical, drafting and coordination support to the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in its capacity as National Designated Authority (NDA), for the government-led formulation of Tajikistan's Green Climate Fund (GCF) National Adaptation Plan implementation Readiness proposal.
This assignment will generate evidence and recommendations on how inclusive social protection systems can strengthen climate resilience for women and girls, including those with disabilities, in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. The consultant will review existing evidence, conduct stakeholder consultations, identify regional and global good practices, and develop recommendations to strengthen gender-responsive, disability-inclusive, and climate-resilient social protection systems.
This strategic assessment will be delivered by the national consultant based in Liberia along with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) staff, through field-based data collection and stakeholder engagement. Throughout the process, the national consultant would coordinate with an internationally recruited consultant who will provide technical quality assurance and comparative international expertise.
Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Chief, Supply and Logistics, the Construction Specialist will be responsible for managing and monitoring construction activities across the Country Office, including school infrastructures, health centers, and other rehabilitation projects, while providing technical support to UNICEF Programmes and Operations. The incumbent will lead the preparation of the Construction Annual Workplan, collaborate closely with UNICEF programme sections and government counterparts, support the preparation of design and technical documents, contribute to procurement processes, and ensure effective monitoring of construction projects.
