The Chief WASH reports to the Deputy Representative for general guidance and direction. The Chief is responsible for managing and supervising all stages of the WASH programme from strategic planning and formulation to the delivery of the WASH outcome and output results. The Chief is also responsible for leading and managing the CO WASH team. The Chief WASH is accountable for ensuring that the WASH outcome and output results are achieved according to plans, allocations, results based-management approaches and methodology, UNICEF’s Strategic Plan, standards of performance and accountability framework.
UNICEF Kosovo is in the final year of its five-year programme cycle (2021–2025), with the empowerment of adolescents and young people being as one of the core priorities. This programme focuses on expanding opportunities for youth in Kosovo by fostering their participation and equipping them with essential skills for the labor market, while also empowering them to become agents of social change in their communities. Partnering and leveraging partnerships with central and local institutions.
The Health and Nutrition Specialist will provide overall coordination and technical leadership for the health and nutrition component of SOMOUD programme and coordinate with implementing partners and field-based officers to deliver on the programme results. Provide overall guidance to the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and administration of the SOMOUD Health and Nutrition component. Accountable for effective technical and programme support to facilitate the application and adaptation of UNICEF policies and strategies to achieve strategic priorities and objectives and expansion of UNICEF interventions, including the attainment of CO targets and SOMOUD Results Framework.
