Under the supervision of the Regional Adviser, Sustainability and Climate Section, ECARO and CEED Specialist, UNICEF Tajikistan, the consultant will be responsible for the implementation of the following tasks and delivering the specified outputs. The purpose of this consultancy is to provide technical support to an International Consultant in conducting a comprehensive assessment of the current program aimed at preventing mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV, HBV, and syphilis in Tajikistan. The assessment will identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement to enhance the program's effectiveness and ensure alignment with international best practices.
UNCEF Tajikistan is looking for young enthusiastic talents to fill the Batch of National Interns for 2025. National Interns will be responsible for executing a broad variety of tasks for the relevant sections.
The main purpose of the assignment is to provide technical assistance to the national task force group in collecting the evidence, conducting the assessment of barriers for pregnant women to access the PMTCT services and developing report with recommendations on how to achieve triple elimination of mother-to-child transmission (eMTCT) status. Although the report will be for national pre-validation of EMTCT of HIV, the consultant will ensure that Hepatitis and Syphilis data and information are included and integrated in the report as part of the program assessment component.
The national consultant will be helping the MoES and its affiliated institutions to develop a framework for CBE learning materials, develop sample units for selected subjects and grades, and design a financial model to support a sustainable approach to CBE learning materials.
