The UNICEF Refugee Response Office in Poland seeks an experienced FINANCE ASSOCIATE for its Operations Section. The Finance Associate will be responsible for providing a variety of specialized tasks in finance functions, ensuring accurate and timely delivery that is in compliance with UNICEF financial rules and regulations, whilst demonstrating the capacity to research, adapt and evaluate irregular cases, and also to recommend improvements to process delivery and design. This is a Fixed Term position with initial appointment for up to end of 2025. This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules. All staff in the General Service and related categories shall be recruited in the country or within commuting distance of each office, irrespective of their nationality and of the length of time they may have been in the country. | The Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) aims to achieve results for children by maximizing UNICEF's private fundraising and advocacy around the world. To carry out this mission, PFP coordinates fundraising activities and private sector partnerships with offices in over 50 countries.
The global team operates to support and enable countries in their fundraising, and this role works within that approach to support and develop the capabilities of teams, as well as supporting or leading the development of relevant global strategies. Individual Giving is one of UNICEF’s most critical sources of revenue and the PFP Individual Giving team, which this role would be part of, focuses on supporting countries to grow their individual giving revenue.
The PFP Individual Giving team based in Geneva is a lead participant in the Supporter Engagement Strategy, which aims to increase the global acquisition and engagement of UNICEF's diverse supporter base, including donors, advocates, and volunteers. A key part of the strategy is to replace the incumbent CRM systems currently in place in 21 country offices with Salesforce-based technology. The role of Marketing Cloud Specialist will be instrumental in working with markets to redefine their fundraising approach and develop Marketing Cloud to that benefit. |

| Iran has been implementing the Unconditional Cash Transfer (Yaraneh) programme as one part of the social security programmes since 2010. The programme covered all deciles of the population in the first stages. Step by step, the government started to improve the programme by strengthening the single registry system, recognizing the eligible target groups, excluding non-eligible households, and moving to conditionalize the programme. One of the most important outcomes of the programme in Iran was the establishment of the Iranian REFAH information system (Iranian Welfare Database (IWD)). While this system is one of the most important systems for recognizing the target groups, the Government is going to strengthen the recognition of the target groups through the establishment of the single window system.
UNICEF, in line with the Socio-Economic Resilience Pillar of the UNSDCF (UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Frameworks) (2023-2027) as well as in the framework of the 2023-2027 Country Programme Document (CPD), is working to strengthen the social protection system including cash transfers. The Government has good experience in transferring cash and strengthening this programme is one of the plans of the government for reducing poverty in all dimensions and creating jobs. In this regard, UNICEF has a joint programme with the government of I.R. Iran, the Ministry of Cooperative, Labour, and Social Welfare (MCLSW), to support strengthening of the cash transfer programme to maintain the system is rights-based, child-sensitive and shock-responsive. |
