UNICEF Jakarta is looking for Health Officer (Maternal, Newborn and Child Health) who will lead and coordinate initiatives to strengthen emergency obstetric and newborn care (EMONC), particularly neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) services in UNICEF-supported provinces; improve delivery of quality MNCH services in urban settings for young mothers, caregivers and the urban poor; and liaise with national partners to align MNCH service delivery with national standards and UNICEF priorities. UNICEF, with funding from the DBS Foundation, will support an integrated education and nutrition programme in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) in 2026 to improve learning, nutrition, and wellbeing outcomes for children aged 4–12 years.
UNICEF seeks a national consultant to support programme implementation at district and school levels. The consultant will work with government partners, ECD centres, and primary schools to strengthen nutrition education and services, support teachers in integrating nutrition topics into learning activities, build stakeholder capacity, and assist district authorities in developing sustainable plans and budgets. The consultant will also support coordination, monitoring, and implementation of programme activities under the supervision of UNICEF Kupang Field Office.
The national consultant will play a key role in the desk review and analysis on nonformal education (NFE) policies and curriculum in Indonesia to identify opportunities for improving the quality of the education system. The consultant will also play a key role in the analysis of other potential alternative learning pathways for OOSC in Indonesia (outside the NFE system) to identify opportunities for their establishment including the supportive ecosystem needed. The consultant will be required to play an active and leading role in consultations with relevant government and non-government stakeholders at national and sub-national levels to ensure all data/information and inputs needed for the study comprehensively obtained.
