The Senior Adviser, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (Sanitation), reports to the Director, Global WASH Practice, with day-to-day coordination by the Snr Adviser, High Impact Solutions. The Snr Adviser provides strategic guidance and technical assistance to governments and UNICEF Country Offices to advance access to sanitation up the service ladder toward safely managed sanitation for all. The role ensures that financial resources are leveraged effectively to achieve results at scale and to deliver on UNICEF’s Strategic Plan 2026–2029 for the most vulnerable children and families in both development and humanitarian contexts.
Lead UNICEF’s global work on community-based primary health care (CB-PHC) to strengthen equitable, people-centered health systems. Provide strategic and technical leadership to integrate maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (MNCAH) services at the community level, institutionalize community health worker (CHW) programs, and enhance PHC delivery through sustainable financing, digital innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
Through financing and partnerships solutions, Supply Division supports government efforts to increase domestic and domestically-mobilized financing and mobilize other financing to support improved market dynamics, including a strengthened local supplier base which complements domestic sources and further enables improved access.
