The ability of the Finance Officer to effectively manage and execute financial transactions and services directly impacts on meeting organizational/staff needs and program delivery of goals and objectives. This in turn contributes to maintaining/enhancing the credibility of UNICEF as an effective and responsible manager of funds entrusted to the organization and to furthering UNICEF’s image as a competent organization for delivering cost effective and sustainable program results.
The Nutrition Officer (Data, Analytics and Evidence) will be based in Sokoto under the overall supervision of the Nutrition Specialist based in the Sokoto Field Office, will work in close collaboration with Abuja’s Nutrition Section Information Management Officer (Data, Analytics and Evidence), and will ensure close collaboration with Government counterparts and Partners at State and Local Government Area (LGA) levels to strengthen data systems across the data value chain.
The Child Protection Specialist (MHPSS), reports to the Child Protection Manager for guidance and general supervision. The Specialist supports the development and preparation of the MHPSS component of the Child Protection programme(s) and is responsible for the management, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of the child protection MHPSS programmes/projects within the country programme. The Specialist provides technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes. H/She facilitates the administration and achievement of concrete and sustainable contributions to national and international efforts to create a protective environment for children against all harm, and to protect their rights to survival, development and well-being as established under the Convention on the Rights of the Child, international treaties/frameworks and UN intergovernmental bodies
The efficiency and efficacy of support provided by the Nutrition Officer to the preparation, planning and implementation of nutrition programmes/ projects contributes to and accelerates the national development efforts to improve the nutritional status of mothers, infants, and children in the country. This in turn contributes to maintaining and enhancing the credibility and ability of UNICEF to continue to provide programme services to mothers and children that promotes greater social equity in the country.
