UNICEF’s Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) in Budapest, Hungary supports UNICEF staff and offices globally in transaction processing of Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Business Innovation and Support. GSSC drives a number of projects and initiatives aimed at reducing the administrative burden of field staff, increasing organizational efficiency and generating cost savings.

GSSC is looking for an experienced SAP Developer Consultant to work with Business Innovation and Support Section, other GSSC sections, other HQ divisions with technical development work to ensure the efficient delivery of critical workplan priorities.

How can you make a difference?

The SAP Developer Consultant will work in the Business Innovation and Support Section and to develop and deliver the following items:

  • Contribute to Payroll funding project
  • Help maintaining and developing SAP Vision reports
  • Contribute to the development of SAP Fiori application related to HR processes
  • Support maintaining master data records

This will involve (Terms of Reference):

  1. Contribute to the Payroll funding project:
  • Standard cost and Entitlement Validation Engine development
  • New payroll rejection validation for missing cost distribution
  • Actual posting to charge Salary Fund
  1. Create VISION reports:
  • Core Data Services view for ZHR_ATTENDANCE_DETAILS report
  • Create ad-hoc reports required to identify gaps in existing process
  1. Maintain existing VISION reports:
  • Absence report missing leaves pending for approval.
  • Master data and funding exception report
  • Separation exception report
  • Enhance the existing utility to identify the PERNRs in a payroll area with filter on retro dates along with other options.
  1. Provide on-going support in maintaining of master data records in the SAP, such as salary scales, exchange rates, Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) rates, post adjustments, rental subsidies and many others related to HR, Payroll and Finance process and holidays calendars for 180 different locations. Develop automated tools to simplify tables uploads.
  2. Develop, test, debug, and implement SAP Fiori applications related to HR processes. Provide problem-solving and technical support, including on-call support for SAP Fiori Applications
  3. Participate in the road map activities in the assessment of emerging technologies and contribute ideas and develop solutions to improve utilization of SAP and other systems currently being used such as ServiceNow, Power Apps, AAD, etc.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or other relevant disciplines
  • 7 years of relevant experience in business process analysis, software design, and development
  • Functional knowledge of two of the SAP modules: FI, MDM, HR or Payroll
  • Experience solutioning in SAP-ABAP, WorkFlow, FIORI, and using JavaScript and Win shuttle
  • Communication, influencing, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in working with UN
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Additional UN languages will be considered an asset.
