UNICEF in Vientiane, Lao PDR is looking for a National Internship for Cost of Child Marriage and Data Compilation. The duration of this assignment is 3 months, starting as soon as possible. The intern will be based in UNICEF Office in Vientiane.
Summary of key functions/accountabilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Social Policy, the intern will undertake the following tasks:
• Support data collection and group interviews for the study on social and economic impact of child marriage.
• Support translation of material, meeting minutes, reports, agenda and other relevant papers for analyzing the of social and economic impact of child marriage.
• Support the logistic arrangement for meeting, discussion, workshops, events for activities fall under the Social Policy Section.
• Create a table containing data from Lao social indicator survey round (LSIS) II and III as advised by the supervisor.
• Work closely with Social Policy Specialist who responsible for cost analysis of social and economic impact of child marriage.
• Take minutes of meetings, workshops and discussion.
• Update the Social Policy Climate Change Website Hub.
• Support formatting the provincial profiles from LSIS III.
Experience and education requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as economics, social science, public administration, statistics or other discipline pertinent to the position.
• Proficient in at least one of UNICEF’s working languages, particularly English, at a working knowledge level.
• Mandatory fluency in Laotian.
• Demonstrated excellent academic performance through recent university or institution records.
