Purpose of Activity/Assignment: 

The purpose of this specific assignment is to write the 2025 UNICEF Mozambique Country Office Annual Report (COAR) and ensure quality 2025 results statements for all MCO areas of work.

 

Scope of Work:

UNICEF Mozambique Country Office (MCO) implements various programmes across the country, with an annual programme budget of about US$ 100 million on average over the last 4 years. In addition to the central office in Maputo, UNICEF has 4 Field Offices in Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Sofala and Zambezia. The 2022-2026 Country Programme for 2022-2026 covers Child Health & Nutrition, WASH, Education, Child Protection, and Social Policy & Social Protection. This consultancy assignment is to produce the following deliverables:

 

1.           Review and revise as needed the 2025 Results (RAM) Statements for all UNICEF Mozambique areas of work.

2.           Write the 2025 UNICEF Mozambique Country Office Annual Report (COAR) Summary Narrative.

Minimum requirements:

  • Education: Masters'

Enter Disciplines: Development Studies, Social Sciences, Economics, or a related discipline

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:

•            Demonstrated expertise in results-based report writing.

•            At least 5 years of professional work experience in quality results-based reporting and monitoring, preferably including experience working for UNICEF or other UN Agencies in Mozambique.

•            Fluency in English with demonstrated quality report writing skills.

•            Knowledge of Portuguese would be an asset

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance.  Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF. Should you be selected for a position with UNICEF, you either must be inoculated as required or receive a medical exemption from the relevant department of the UN. Otherwise, the selection will be canceled.

Government employees who are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government positions before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
