How can you make a difference?
UNICEF Colombia currently has over 130,000 active donors and an average monthly collection of USD 1.5 million, supported by a significant number of processes related to information generation, campaign databases, and overall data management.
Four years after the implementation of Salesforce as the CRM platform for the fundraising team, it has become critical to move beyond stabilization and focus on the optimization of the tool. This optimization is directly linked to cost efficiency in its use, as well as to the identification and development of new processes, governance models, and change-control mechanisms that allow the organization to maximize the platform’s capabilities.
At this stage, Salesforce represents not only an operational system but a strategic asset. Strengthening its configuration, usage standards, and integration with the transactional and operational ecosystem is essential to maximize return on investment, improve decision-making, and enable sustainable growth of the fundraising operation.
The main functions and tasks of this position are aimed at monitoring, coordinating, and implementing critical processes of the current stage of the project, such as the API Integration project for UNICEF suppliers and the production of key tools for the acquisition and retention strategies of donors.
Key functions, accountabilities and related duties/tasks
- CRM Integrations and Data Flows:

Coordinate, monitor and validate API integrations between Salesforce and external stakeholders (agencies, payment providers, digital platforms).

Support the definition of integration requirements, data structures and business rules.
-
Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure data consistency across systems.
-
Document end-to-end data flows, APIs and integration processes aligned with UNICEF standards.

Support vendors and internal teams in the implementation and consumption of APIs.

Define and execute test cases (UAT) to validate integrations prior to production deployment.

- Optimization of CRM Collection and Transactional Processes:
-
Support the design and implementation of scalable collection processes within Salesforce.
-
Coordinate integrations with banks, payment gateways and processors (credit cards, debit, recurring payments).
-
Analyze transaction flows, including payment attempts, rejections, retries and successful collections.
-
Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements to reduce operational costs and increase approval rates.

Support the automation of manual transactional processes.

Ensure documentation and monitoring of collection processes.

- CRM Platforms, Portals and Tools
-
Provide technical-functional support across Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud) and related platforms.

Support implementation and optimization of donor portals and partner community access.

Ensure proper data access models, visibility rules and governance.
-
Design and support data flows between CRM, marketing tools and external systems.
-
Maintain updated documentation of systems, processes and configurations.

- Business Analysis and Project Support
- Gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.

Define acceptance criteria and support testing processes (UAT).

Coordinate Agile ceremonies when required (sprint planning, follow-ups, retrospectives).

Monitor timelines, risks and dependencies across projects.

Communicate findings, risks and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Coordination and Knowledge Sharing

Facilitate coordination between BI, Individual Giving, ICT/ICTD and external vendors.

Promote best practices in CRM usage, data management and process standardization.

Support knowledge transfer and capacity building within local teams.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability and revenue growth.

The following minimum requirements:
- Completion of secondary education is required. University studies in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related fields are considered an asset.
- For this position, a bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a relevant field may replace three years of related work experience. A master’s degree may replace additional two years.
- Minimum seven (7) years of relevant professional experience in CRM systems, business analysis, systems integration, or data-driven operational roles is required. Within this experience, candidates must demonstrate:

At least three (3) years of hands-on experience working with Salesforce CRM in roles related to administration,configuration, business analysis or integrations.
- Experience supporting operational or transactional processes, preferably in fundraising, non-profit organizations or payment-related environments.
- Experience working with data flows, integrations or system interactions involving external vendors or platforms.

Desirable:

Experience in Individual Giving or donor management operations.

Experience with recurring payments, payment gateways or financial transaction processes.

Experience working in international organizations or NGOs.

- Technical Knowledge

Solid understanding of Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud)

Knowledge of CRM data models, roles, profiles, reports and dashboards

Understanding of API integrations, data exchange formats (JSON/XML) and system interoperability

Experience with documentation of requirements, user stories and test cases

Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, data analysis).

Certifications (Desirable): Salesforce Administrator Certification, Salesforce Business Analyst or Platform App Builder or Marketing Cloud Certification

Fluency in Spanish is required, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A minimum English proficiency level of B2 (upper-intermediate) is required. Note: The person in this role must have the ability to effectively communicate in both written and spoken English in technical and professional contexts, particularly in interactions with non-Spanish-speaking global support teams.
