During the 12-month period of the contract, the consultant will provide strategic and technical support on GBViE with a focus on technology and innovation, digital service delivery, and GBV risk mitigation. The role will contribute to the development, scaling, and sustainability of GBViE-related digital tools, while strengthening inter-agency alignment and donor engagement through Geneva-based activities. This is an exciting opportunity to obtain an in-depth understanding of the functioning of UNICEF and its work, from high-level political engagement to liaising with colleagues in the field, at country and regional level and across headquarters divisions.
Under the supervision of the Public Partnership Manager, the intern will support various aspects of external relations, knowledge management and development of strategies and approaches to relevant thematic areas.
The consultant will provide support to PPD Asia-LAC team for liaison, coordination, scheduling, drafting briefing notes and readouts for high-level meetings and escorting senior leaders to and from these meetings; as well as grant management support for country offices in the Asia-LAC regions.
The selected candidate is expected to work on assessing the quality of the harmonized MICS data, ensuring its alignment with the MICS Tabulator platform, and collaborating with the Tabulator software development team as well as the IPUMS team responsible for data harmonization. This role will involve developing relevant code for data analysis and tabulation that will run in the background of the Tabulator platform, supporting decisions on visualization tools, and contributing to documentation and technical guidance for the platform’s implementation.
This consultation aims to ensure that the consultant has a strong grasp of household survey methodologies, MICS-specific data processing approaches, and statistical tools, allowing them to provide effective support in developing a robust and user-friendly platform for real-time data analysis. The consultant will work closely with technical teams to ensure that the MICS Tabulator is built on high-quality, standardized, and well-structured data, with the necessary analytical tools to enhance accessibility and usability for stakeholders.
