Under the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist (Emergency), the intern will provide support to the Programme Effectiveness team to enable the coordination, implementation and monitoring of cross-sectoral initiatives within the ECO.
The purpose of this assignment is to engage an International Consultant to support the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation in strengthening the regulatory framework for preventing school dropout, early school leaving, and educational exclusion by reviewing existing legislation, identifying policy and implementation gaps, and developing practical, evidencebased measures aligned with national priorities and international standards to improve equitable access to quality, inclusive education.
The purpose of the consultancy is to produce a defined set of analytical and knowledge products during the ECAMENA transition. These include a workshop report, reviews of specific evidence products, documentation of selected survey innovations, a practical transition note, and research papers on MICS innovations in MENA. The assignment is time-bound and linked to the deliverables and deadlines specified in the Work Assignment Overview.
Under the overall supervision of the M&E Specialist, the MICS consultant will support and provide guidance to UNICEF Belarus and Belstat for the preparation, implementation and completion of the MICS survey in the country. The MICS consultant will advise and support Belstat, especially the Survey Coordinator and sampling and data processing experts, during survey planning, questionnaire design, sampling, training, fieldwork, data processing, data analysis, reporting, dissemination and archiving, ensuring that MICS protocols, standards and recommendations are followed at all times.
