The Education Officer reports to the Education Specialist (Digital) for close guidance and supervision. The Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the digital learning programmes/projects through the application of theoretical and technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing and presenting technical programme information while learning organizational rules, regulations and procedures to support the development and formulation of the Education Programme within the Country Programme.
The Education Specialist position is required on temporary appointment, to continue technical support to the Ministry of Education on planning, monitoring and reporting of results with a focus on programmes funded by the GPE. The incumbent will also support planning and implementation of key interventions under the national foundational learning strategy, including remedial education, and inclusion of children with disability.
Under the direct supervision of Chief Education, the Education Specialist will work with the Education Section team and government partners, most notably the Ministry of Education and Rwanda Basic Education Board, that leads implementation of GPE funded programmes.
To systematically review the existing national plan for the elimination of vertical transmission of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B to identify residual gaps and overall strategy responsiveness toward the 2030 elimination goals.
