The internship aims to provide practical experience in social protection, public finance for children, and evidence generation, while contributing to UNICEF's efforts to strengthen child-sensitive social protection systems and social sector investments. The intern will support programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, research, data analysis, knowledge management, and event organization related to key social policy initiatives.
The purpose of this announcement is to establish a pre-screened Experts Pool to support the ADC functions in delivering targeted technical assistance focused on disease elimination, outbreak preparedness and response, and related priorities. Experts are expected to work in close collaboration with UNICEF Programme Division, Centers of Excellence (CoEs), UNICEF country offices, WHO regional and country offices, and partners (e.g., MSF, IFRC, Africa CDC, CDC, JSI) to provide timely technical support applying the latest guidance, tools, and approaches to strengthen country capacity.
Education: An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: Social Sciences, Child Protection, Education and/or management, International Relations, Government, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Policy, Social Development, Community Development, or another relevant technical field.Work Experience: At minimum 5 years of relevant work experience is required in one or more of the following areas is required: Child Protection, Education, social policy, planning and management or finances Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset. Background/familiarity with emergency is considered as an asset.
