The purpose of this consultancy is to provide support to the Documentation Team OSEB with an archiving project. The consultant will accurately archive, tag and preserve Executive Board physical and digital materials and organize the files to be uploaded into a new trusted digital repository.
The consultant will support Country Offices (CO) in establishing GeoSight instances, training staff in using the platform, assisting with initial data additions to the platform, and providing technical support. The consultant will also support the GeoSight launch event, perform functionality testing, develop a platform manual and associated learning materials, develop training materials, and implement remote and in person trainings
The consultant will contribute to adjustments to Emergency Preparedness Platform (EPP) risk analysis geospatial data layers, in collaboration with UNICEF Country Offices, as well as to training modules instructing CO on how to use the risk analysis data to identify high risk parts of countries and thus act as the foundation for contingency planning
Under the supervision of the Emergency Specialist (Risk Analysis), the L3/L2 Outlook – Scenario Development Consultant will support UNICEF’s global contextual risk monitoring and analysis, including its links to preparedness.
The main purpose of this assignment is to enhance the engagement and management of global multi-generational families by developing and implementing strategic initiatives, communication strategies, and events that align with UNICEF’s philanthropic goals. UNICEF in Kosovo has supported the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) with the implementation of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) surveys in 2014 and 2020. MICS is the largest household survey globally that generates internationally comparable estimates for over 200 indicators. The Kosovo 2014 and 2020 Kosovo MICS surveys filled in significant data gaps on the situation of children and families. In both MICS rounds, Kosovo conducted a separate survey with Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities to ensure equity-based analysis on the situation of children and families among the general population and most marginalized groups. Kosovo MICS data showcased progress made in child survival over the past decade, but highlighted persistent challenges in health, development, and education indicators. Data provided by MICS have been instrumental to inform policy, strategies and decision-making processes in the situation of children in Kosovo.
The Evaluation, Impact and Learning Section in collaboration with Child Protection, Gender and Social and Behavior Change Communication section is commissioning an evaluative assessment to advance organizational learning by identifying initiatives that work and have impact in enhancing the value of adolescent and marginalized girls in South Asia.
