Under the guidance and supervision of the Contracts Manager, the Contracts Officer will be engaged in the procurement of medical equipment, devices, consumables and any associated services with a focus on oxygen therapy and related products in accordance with the UNICEF Rules and Regulations, and monitor and report on supplier performance, market development and procurement history for a segment of products.
The Communication Officer (Vision Mixer) is responsible for providing technical production support for Virtual Experiences (VEs). This includes seamlessly running the multimedia material when needed during the live events, supporting the technical aspects of the live crossing (usually done on mobile phones) to the field locations, as well as basic editing such as broll/cutaways, photo loops, topping and tailing and uploads to YouTube and WeShare (UNICEF’s digital asset management platform). VEs are an essential part of stewarding UNICEF’s high-value private sector donors, and high-quality technical support is important to ensuring a quality and compelling experience is delivered.
The position is in the Office of Emergency Programmes (EMOPS) under the Emergency Specialist (Reporting/Global Appeals Manager). The Office of Emergency Programmes has several objectives:
(a) strengthen preparedness and timely, effective and efficient response to humanitarian crises in varied contexts;
(b) strengthen sustained access to principled humanitarian assistance and protection for children affected by humanitarian crises, and
(c) strengthen strategic alliances, partnerships and advocacy for child-focused humanitarian action.
The position will support the EMOPS Director’s Office, specifically in data management, analysis and communications, and in delivering on its corporate reporting accountabilities. Under supervision and in regular consultation with the supervisor, support reports and data visualization, including web and graphic design. Support the delivery of EMOPS annual reports and regular data aggregation of country humanitarian responses throughout the year for better accountability and fundraising through UNICEF’s humanitarian appeal (Humanitarian Action for Children) and for the National Committee, donors, partners and other external audiences.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief, Strategic Planning and Global Support and direct supervision of the Programme and Planning Manager, P4, the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, P2, will strengthen the strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation, research & data analytics, and reporting of GCA’s work in support of UNlCEF’s Strategic Plan, the Global Communication and Advocacy Strategy and GCA’s Office Management Plan (OMP).
Based at the Regional Office in Bangkok, Thailand under the supervision of the Regional Supply & Logistics Specialist and working closely with colleagues in the 14 Country Offices in the region and SCSC Supply Division, the incumbent will support the countries in the development and implementation of Supply Chain System Strengthening strategies and initiatives, which provide a tangible impact for delivery of services to the women and children of the East Asia and Pacific Region.
