This is a Junior Professional Officer position open to Finnish nationals only. The Education Officer will be supported by the Government of Finland for the duration of two years with possible one-year extension through co-financing between the Government of Finland and UNICEF (50%-50% co-financing).
Under the supervision of the Chief, Education Section, the Junior Proffesional Officer (JPO)provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programs/projects within the Country Program from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative program tasks to facilitate program development, implementation, program progress monitoring, evaluating, reporting, sector coordination and policy/advocacy communication development. The officer plays an important role in promoting and advancing quality early learning from curriculum and pedagogical aspects to monitoring, research and data analysis to inform programme implementation, working closely with UNICEF Early Learning and Development programme team and UNICEF multi-sectorial team for Early Years.
