Refugee women and children represent the majority of this population. As of February 2025, there are over 360,000 Ukrainian refugee children in Poland, nearly half of whom are enrolled in Polish schools. To respond to this crisis, UNICEF established a Refugee Response Office in Poland and partnered with national and municipal authorities, as well as local NGOs, to provide critical support to affected communities. Through this consultancy, UNICEF will support the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) in coordinating, implementing, and monitoring additional support services under the “Accessible School for All” (ASA) project — a key UNICEF priority for 2026.
