According to the UNICEF Report in 2019 entitled A World Ready to Learn, at least 175 million children or 50 percent of the world’s pre-primary-age population in 2019 are not enrolled in pre-primary programs. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Functional Literacy, Education and Mass Media Survey (FLEMMS) in 2019 also revealed that at least 270,000 or 90 percent of children 3 to 4 years old are not attending any form of early childhood education program in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), and more than 50,000 of them are in Lanao del Sur. |
