The role provides strategic leadership, policy advice, and technical stewardship for UNICEF’s global Education in Emergencies portfolio, supporting preparedness, response, recovery, and resilient education systems across humanitarian and crisis-affected contexts. The incumbent works closely with Country Offices, Regional Offices, Centres of Excellence, governments, donors, and global partners to advance equitable access to quality education for children affected by conflict, displacement, and climate-related shocks. The position also leads global partnerships, knowledge generation, policy influence, resource mobilization, and inter-agency coordination to strengthen UNICEF’s education response and ensure continuity of learning during emergencies. |
