| Under the supervision and guidance of the supervisor, the senior programme associate supports the respective section by carrying out a range of programme support functions to help develop, implement and monitor the country programme, ensuring effective and timely delivery that is consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations.
The Senior Programme Associate works in close collaboration with a range of staff in the office, external partners and agency counterparts in support of programme design and delivery. S/He provides regular feedback on the status of projects through monitoring milestones and advises on improvements to keep activities on track. |

| Under the general guidance of the supervisor, the Social Policy Specialist is responsible for supporting the programme management, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of all stages of social policy programming and related advocacy, from strategic planning and formulation to the delivery of concrete and sustainable results. This includes leading the development and implementation of a project management approach for the Social Recovery Office and ensuring team members are effectively utilizing associated tools and methodologies. The role also encompasses coordinating and delivering timely and accurate reporting, including donor reports and SPIRIT programme updates. This includes programmes aimed at improving (a) public policies to reduce child poverty; (b) social protection coverage and impact on children; (c) the transparency, adequacy, equity and efficiency of child-focused public investments and financial management; and (d) governance, decentralization and accountability measures to increase public participation and the quality, equity and coverage of social services. |

| The social policy specialist will be responsible for deepening collaboration with key stakeholders, especially within the relevant ministries, and provide an interface for environmental scanning, knowledge exchange, resource mobilization, and policy influence within the scope of assignment. S/He may also serve as focal point and resource for colleagues on specific thematic areas of strategic relevance for partnership development. They will also be expected to coordinate, manage and plan activities/events in a systematic and organized manner; and lastly, manage an effective system for incoming information, including correspondence and decision memos. |
