    The Nigerian WASH team in Abuja is seeking for a WASH Manager to provide technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes, to ensure the achievement of the WASH-related output results in the country programme. The Manager provides authoritative advisory services to government and sector support agencies and interacts with government at senior levels and with senior staff in the International Development Banks. The WASH Manager will support the strengthening of quality assurance, risk-informed programming, and implementation oversight across the WASH portfolio.The role will help ensure that programme interventions are delivered to a high standard, in line with technical norms, and that resources are used effectively to achieve sustainable results for children and communities.The position will contribute to enhancing transparency, accountability, and value for money, including through strengthened monitoring systems, partner support, and field-level verification of results.The position will be based in Abuja but will require significant travel to Maiduguri and other conflict-affected areas. An individual with strong WASH contract management, risk mitigation, compliance monitoring, construction oversight, accountability systems, and internal controls is required.

    Fix My Food Youth Advocacy Consultant (Nationals Only), Remote + travel, #593928 in South Africa

    UNICEF continues to support government initiatives on improving the South African food systems through implementation of evidence-based policy initiatives such as taxing of sugar-sweetened beverages, labelling of foodstuffs including front-of-package labelling, restrictions of marketing of unhealthy foods to children, strengthening food standards in places where children live, learn and play. To support these initiatives UNICEF has been capacitating youths as agents of changes to advocate for these policy initiatives and working closely with various stakeholders including civil society organizations and youth networks. The Consultant will be required to coordinate and facilitate implementation of activities for Fix My Food (FMF) advocacy initiatives targeting adolescents and young people aged 15-24 with the aim of building capacity on advocacy initiatives for the change in the food environments for the prevention of non-communicable diseases.

    National individual consultants (3) to support revising the system for pricing and financing of social protection services in North Macedonia

    UNICEF is recruiting three national consultants for the assignment: The consultants will work as a coordinated team, jointly responsible for deliverables, with regular coordination and joint review of outputs. The team lead will ensure integration, coherence and quality assurance across all outputs. 1. Economic/Finance Expert and Team Lead, tasked with overall coordination between the experts and UNICEF, leading work on research of the existing model and international best practices, revision of the National Methodology for Financing Social Protection Services, pricing simulations and fiscal impact assessments, as well as development of implementation manual and price calculator; 2. Legal Expert, tasked with legal and regulatory analysis, ensuring alignment of the new model with the national legal framework, and drafting proposed legal amendments; and 3. Social Service Professional, who will contribute to revising the service pricing and financing system, conduct stakeholder mapping, coordinate and document stakeholder engagement, support reporting and consultation documentation, and contribute to development of the implementation manual and the implementation workshop for the institutions.
