For every child, the right to Justice
UNICEF Lebanon implements a comprehensive Child Protection Programme aimed at strengthening national systems to prevent and respond to violence, exploitation, abuse and neglect of children. Child justice is a core pillar of this programme, focusing on legislative reform, capacity-building of justice actors, and ensuring child-sensitive procedures for children in conflict or in contact with the law.
The Child Protection Section supports government counterparts, judiciary actors, civil society organisations and UN partners to advance child-friendly justice in line with international standards.
The incumbent will support the implementation, coordination and monitoring of child justice interventions, ensuring timely delivery of workplans, quality partner implementation, and evidence-based programming under the Child Protection Programme.
The incumbent is accountable for supporting the timely and quality implementation of child justice–related activities under the Child Protection Programme, including effective technical, coordination and logistical support to partners and stakeholders. The role is responsible for contributing to partner monitoring and quality assurance efforts, supporting risk identification and follow-up, and ensuring accurate and timely preparation of programme documentation such as meeting minutes, briefs, and draft programme documents. The IC is also accountable for supporting the organization of capacity-building activities and for contributing to data and evidence generation to strengthen evidence-based child justice programming.

1. Programme implementation and coordination:
• Support implementation of child justice workplans and agreements
• Coordinate with partners, municipalities and relevant justice actors
• Support inter-agency and inter-sectoral coordination on child justice
2. Monitoring, quality assurance and risk management:
• Support partner monitoring through field visits, spot checks and reviews
• Contribute to risk assessments and follow-up actions
• Support documentation of monitoring findings
3. Programme development and documentation:
• Support drafting/revision of Programme Documents (PDs), TORs and agreements
• Contribute to concept notes, proposals and technical briefs
• Prepare briefing notes and meeting minutes
4. Capacity building and events:
• Support organisation of trainings, workshops, roundtables and working groups
• Coordinate logistics and technical inputs for learning events
5. Evidence generation and reporting:
• Support data collection, analysis and evidence generation
• Contribute to reports and knowledge products to strengthen child justice programming

Minimum requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in law or related field is required.
- Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in child protection, child justice or human rights programming, including experience in programme implementation, coordination and partner support is required.
- Experience in monitoring partner activities, supporting capacity-building initiatives, and contributing to programme documentation and reporting is required.
- Experience working with government counterparts, justice actors or civil society organisations is an asset.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in Arabic and English is required. Knowledge of French or any other UN language is considered an asset.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF.
