UNICEF Namibia Country Office is looking for a committed, strategic and resourceful professional to join the Health Team. Supporting the development and preparation of the nutrition programme, and is responsible for managing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting the programme progress of a sector of the nutrition programme within the country programme. The Nutrition Specialist provides technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes to facilitate the administration and achievement of concrete and sustainable results in maternal, infant and child nutrition programmes/projects. This is carried out according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM), as well as UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance, and accountability framework. Accountable for effective technical and programme support to facilitate the application and adaptation of UNICEF policies and strategies to achieve strategic priorities and objectives and expansion of UNICEF assisted Health & Nutrition interventions, including the attainment of the UNICEF Core Commitments for Children (CCCs) in humanitarian situation.

The Namibia Country Office is looking for a committed and result-oriented Early Childhood Development (ECD) Specialist. Reporting to the Chief Child Survival & Development and Deputy Representative, the ECD Specialist will support the coordinated development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of ECD programmes/projects within the Country Programme. The ECD Specialist will also provide technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes to facilitate the administration and achievement of results on ECD related programmes/projects. Namibia Country Office is seeking for a committed, energetic and innovative individual to provide Functional Analysis to inform the transfer of designated Early Childhood Development (ECD). The consultant will work closely with MoEAC and MGEPESW and will report directly to UNICEF Education Specialist. Reports and progress against deliverables will be shared with MoEAC, MGEPESW and UNICEF. Besides a close relationship with MoEAC and MGEPESW, the consultant is expected to establish and nurture good relations with relevant members of the Steering Committee, including (but not limited to) the European Union Technical Support team at MOEAC and the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
