How can you make a difference? 

To develop online self-paced course for early intervention for parents/caregivers of children under five in Myanmar language

Scope of Work : 

In the context of this assignment, the national consultant will have the following key tasks:

A. Review existing resources and materials

Conduct a thorough review of existing ECI training materials from UNICEF and other sources

Assesses the suitability and applicability of existing training materials

B. Adaptation and synthesis of the content

Collaborate with relevant experts to analyze the suitability of existing materials for the target audience and the context

Develop a clear plan for adapting and synthesizing the materials to align with the objectives of the course

Create a structural outline for the course content based on the adapted materials

C. Design and develop the course

Identify and work with an online course developer to design the online format, including its structure and layout including but not limited to identification of learning authoring tool (such as Articulate, iSpring, EasyGenerator, Genially Premium, etc.) to make the course simple, engaging, user-friendly, and easy to navigate

Create multimedia content that enhances the learning experience of the participants, including mapping competencies within the activities and assessments, gamification and interactivity, where needed, to ensure engagement and assess understanding of participants

D. Pilot the online course

Plan and conduct a pilot of the online self-paced course with a sample of participants

Collect feedback from participants, facilitators, and other relevant stakeholders

E. Finalize the course

Incorporate feedback and suggestions from the pilot phase to finalize the course

Create guide to assist parents/ caregivers to complete the course successfully

Note: The course is designed to be user-friendly for those with limited digital literacy, Myanmar language proficiency, or sensory impairments. Full scripts to be made available for narration

Total five modules to be included in this course (See annex 1 for draft titles of modules). Each module is limited to 30 minutes, and each clip or slide kept under two minutes to accommodate low-capacity devices and unreliable connectivity

All products are expected to include high-level quality graphics and audio visuals and commitment to ensuring compliance on gender sensitivity, inclusivity and accessibility

E-learning software license needs to be owned by the online course developer, and all native files will be sent to UNICEF upon completion of the project

Description of Assignment

Tasks 1:

Review of existing training resources and materials

A report on the review of existing materials including an inventory of collected materials and an initial assessment of their suitability

Tasks 2:

Adaptation and synthesis of the existing materials

Collaborate with relevant experts to analyze the suitability of existing materials for the target audience and the context

Develop a clear plan for adapting and synthesizing the materials to align with the objectives of the course

Create a structured outline for the course content based on the adapted materials

Deliverables 2

10 working days

Adapted and synthesized course materials with a structured outline for the online course

Tasks 3:

Course design and development

Identify and work with an online course developer to design the online format, including its structure and layout including but not limited to identification of learning authoring tool (such as Articulate, iSpring, EasyGenerator, Genially Premium, etc.) to make the course simple, engaging, user-friendly, and easy to navigate

Create multimedia content that enhances the learning experience of the participants, including mapping competencies within the activities and assessments, gamification and interactivity, where needed, to ensure engagement and assess understanding of participants

Deliverables 3:

Deliverables can be submitted in 2 batches

Working days 45 days

Developed course framework, including a detailed course structure, learning outcomes, and a user-friendly course design using the identified learning authoring tool and get feedback from UNICEF

Multimedia content integrated into the course, including videos, animations, interactive quizzes, and other multimedia elements

Tasks 4:

Piloting of the online course

Plan and conduct a pilot of the online self-paced course with a sample of participants

Collect feedback from participants, and other relevant stakeholders

Deliverables 4:

Working days 3 days

Pilot report, including feedback analysis and proposed revisions for the course

Tasks 5:

Finalization of the course

Incorporate feedback and suggestions from the pilot phase to finalize the course

Create guide to assist parents/ caregivers to complete the course successfully

Deliverables 5:

Working days 15 days

Finalized online course including user guide

Tasks 6:

Prepare the final report

Deliverables 6:

Working days 5 days

Final report with lessons learnt and recommendations

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

Education 

Bachelor’s degree in child development, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Education, or another relevant field

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in the field of early intervention

Experience developing training courses for early intervention

Strong experience working with families

Experience facilitating online courses for participants with diverse background or limited educational level
