How can you make a difference?
Under the supervision of Data and Analytics Officer, P2, the incumbent will be responsible for leading the evolution and stability of the fundraising CRM (Salesforce) in close collaboration with global teams and vendors, acting as the strategic bridge between business needs and technical solutions in Salesforce and related products (Sales & Marketing Cloud, Partner Community), middleware platforms, and connected systems which include telemarketing applications, acquisition applications, Payment Gateways, Payment Service Providers, financial institutions, SMS tools, WhatsApp, and others.
As Product Owner of the Fundraising CRM (Salesforce), translate fundraising needs into a clear, scalable technology roadmap and automate marketing and sales processes (journeys, segmentation) to optimize donor acquisition and retention, managing the full development lifecycle: from defining user stories and backlog prioritization to administrative configuration, data integration, and Quality Assurance (QA). Furthermore, guarantee the platform's integrity, scalability, and security (aligned with PCI standards) by coordinating internal teams and external vendors to maximize return on investment, process automation, and operational efficiency.
This position is critical to advancing fundraising goals by:
- Driving Operational Efficiency: Maximizing the value of the CRM ecosystem through workflow automation, reduced manual processes, and strengthened data quality, enabling fundraising teams to focus on strategic, high‑impact work.
- Ensuring Business Continuity: Coordinating internal teams, vendors, and middleware partners to maintain a stable, reliable, zero‑downtime fundraising platform.
- Upgrading Security & PCI Compliance: Enforcing data‑security standards, conducting continuous assessments, and ensuring full compliance to protect donor data and organizational reputation.
- Leading Innovation: Guiding the technological roadmap by identifying emerging trends and implementing tools that enhance acquisition, retention, and collection results.
The main functions/accountabilities are:
Product Ownership

- Act as the strategic bridge between stakeholders and technical teams to identify business needs, trouble spots, and propose solutions that leverage technology to meet fundraising goals.
- Analyze and document business requirements, directly connecting operational needs with scalable technical solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem in close coordination with the supervisor.
- Translate complex fundraising objectives into clear technical specifications and user stories for the development teams.
- Coordinate actively with the supervisor, internal and external stakeholders the completion with success of the user stories in alignment with the unit priorities, and report constantly in a clear manner the status and challenges faced during the process.
- In alignment with the Data and Analytics Officer, plan regional releases and manage the full development lifecycle, coordinating feature deliveries with global and local development teams.
- Validate deliveries at the functional level (QA) in coordination with the users, ensuring they meet acceptance criteria and add value to the donor acquisition and retention strategies.
- Provide accurate support on the definition and oversee scalable data structures and relationships between Salesforce objects and external sources/systems to guarantee platform integrity.
- Assist in the management of the budget and projections for Sales, Marketing, and Experience Cloud platforms, ensuring cost-efficiency in all add-ons and licenses.
- Collaborate with leadership to analyze and discover emerging technologies that drive the continuous evolution and stability of the fundraising operation.
Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud Administrator
- Take ownership of the management platform security and access governance by configuring licenses, permission sets, and public groups, ensuring strict adherence to organizational data policies.
- Architect and customize the CRM solution (custom objects, fields, validation rules, record types) to align the technical configuration with evolving fundraising business processes in collaboration with the Business intelligence team members.
- Orchestrate environment management (UAT Sandbox/PROD) and deployment pipelines, enforcing best practices to ensure seamless releases and system stability.
- Ensure data integrity across the ecosystem by maintaining the synchronization between Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud, guaranteeing accurate data availability for donor journeys.
- Lead the discussion on designing complex audience segmentations using Data Extensions and entry events to execute precise acquisition and retention strategies within Marketing Cloud in coordination with fundraising teams and Supporter Engagement Strategy (SES) team.
- Take ownership and leadership on external technical support vendor’s needs, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of bug resolution from diagnosis to deployment in PROD, to minimize operational downtime and provide prompt solutions to the users.
Monitoring and coordination on fundraising middleware platforms
- Proactively monitor the health and performance of fundraising platforms and middleware connections to ensure high availability and prevent operational disruptions.
- Orchestrate technical resolutions with development partners, ensuring that proposed solutions align with the needs from various fundraising teams promoting the automation of processes.
- Take ownership of the full incident lifecycle, tracking user-reported issues from diagnosis to resolution to safeguard the continuity of the fundraising operation and report promptly any relevant information to the supervisor.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with vendors, integrators, and system users, fostering a collaborative ecosystem that supports platform growth.
- Promote Agile methodologies across Business Intelligence team, internal stakeholders and external vendors to maximize delivery velocity and platform performance within budget.
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of middleware integrations, ensuring secure and efficient data flow between systems in close coordination with the team and supervisor.
Administrative tasks and others
- Provide support to the supervisor on relation to the quotation and billing processes to all middleware platforms.
- Manage the daily work and administration with the developing partners.
- Document actively the processes to ensure business continuity.
- Others as fundraising operation requires his/her functions, expertise and skills.
To qualify as a champion for every child you will have:
Education
University degree in one of the following fields is required: project management, business analytics, science/engineering, information technology, or software engineering.
Experience
- Minimum one year of professional experience in managing, developing, and implementing Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud and Community Cloud
- Additional relevant experience with Project Management, Business Analysis, Business Intelligence and API architecture is highly desirable.
Knowledge and skills
- Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience leading and coordinating functional and technical teams.
- SQL or SOQL knowledge
- Certifications as Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud administrator courses are an asset.
- Experience applying Agile methodologies is considered an asset
- Experience in Fundraising Operations, payment gateways, PCI compliance and payment platforms are an asset.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in English and Portuguese required.
- Knowledge of Spanish will be considered as an asset.
