How can you make a difference?

This assignment builds on UNICEF’s ongoing technical and financial support to the Ministry of Health, particularly DPPI, in advancing digital health priorities, including the national digital health landscape assessment, development and launch of the National Digital Health Roadmap, establishment of the Digital Health Coordination Unit, and continued support to EMR, DHIS2, CHIS/ComEMR, digital literacy, dashboards, data quality and routine data use.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have...

Minimum requirements:

Education:

•             Advanced university degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Digital Health, Health Information Systems, Epidemiology, Information Systems, ICT for Development, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. A first university degree with substantial relevant experience may be considered where justifiable.

Work Experience:

•             At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in digital health, HMIS/DHIS2, EMR, data systems, health systems strengthening, public health programme monitoring, or related technical assistance in low-resource settings.

Language requirements

•             Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of local languages in Sierra Leone is an asset.

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills:

•             Demonstrated knowledge of EMR standards, interoperability, data governance, digital health coordination, system requirements, dashboard/data-use approaches, capacity building, stakeholder engagement and concise technical writing.

Desirables:

•             Experience working with MoH, UNICEF or UN systems; familiarity with Sierra Leone's health information system, DPPI structures, CHIS/ComEMR, OpenMRS/Bahmni, DHIS2, data protection and child safeguarding requirements.
