Purpose and Scope of Consultancy
UNICEF is seeking a national consultant to support the Aleppo Field Office in revitalizing and advancing the Child Friendly City initiative in Aleppo. The consultant will support the development of a results framework and a multi-sectoral action plan aligned with recognized Child Friendly City criteria and the priorities of the Aleppo local government.
The consultancy will be implemented in two phases over an initial period of six months, with each phase lasting three months. Subject to progress, results achieved, and the continued needs of the initiative, the consultancy may be extended.

- Education: Masters in Human rights, social sciences, public health, policy/development studies and other relevant fields.
- Years of Experience/ Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required*:
- 1.At least 7 years of professional experience on issues of Local governance, Youth development and participation, Social Behavior change communication, public communication
- 2.Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in the essentials of the partnership building, networking.
- 3.Demonstrates excellent writing skills, and strong communication, for the development of technical documents is essential.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF. Appointments are conditional on the selected candidates’ willingness to comply with current or future vaccination requirements, should UNICEF mandate it for personnel.
Failure to comply with such requirements, where applicable and without a duly approved medical exemption from the relevant UN authority, will result in the cancellation of the selection or may lead to other administrative measures, including separation from service
