Under the direct supervision of the cross-Border Logistics Specialist within the supply section. The Logistics Officer performs highly skilled work on UNICEF supply chains, and manages the more complex cases and client requests, which frequently requires the evaluation of difficult situations and adaptation of procedures and processes to resolve such cases.
The function is characterized as highly independent and provides opportunities for Officer to lead and carry out responsibility for end-to-end supply chain management from the beginning to the end of the process and provide input into the design and development of improved supply chain services and delivery mechanisms. The incumbent will closely work with Unicef Partner in Darfur to build their logistics capacity.
There is a particular need to produce, edit, revise, or customize high-quality digital products and materials, such as short viral videos, infographics, webpages, H5 and other advocacy materials based on different purposes for use on digital platforms such as the UNICEF website and social media platforms such as Weibo, WeChat and Douyin. Experienced digital materials producers are critical to meet this need.

UNICEF launched the MICS Foundational Learning Skills (FLS) module in 2017 as the first standardized, globally implemented household survey assessment of children’s foundational reading and math skills, contributing to SDG indicator 4.1.1(a). By 2025, more than 60 countries have collected or are preparing to collect comparable data using the module, helping to spotlight early grade learning and learning inequalities.
The purpose of this assignment is to develop a new assessment tool to measure minimum proficiency in mathematics at the end of primary school (SDG indicator 4.1.1b) that will complement the lower primary component of the FLM2.0, and to advice UNICEF on the integration of both components (lower and primary) for a comprehensive instrument to assess learning skills in MICS.
