L'Enquête par grappes à indicateurs multiples (MICS) est un programme international d'enquête sur les ménages élaboré et appuyé par l'UNICEF. MICS est conçue pour recueillir des estimations sur les indicateurs clés qui sont utilisés pour évaluer la situation des enfants et des femmes. Au cours des 30 dernières années, MICS a évolué pour répondre aux besoins changeants en matière de données, passant de 28 indicateurs au premier cycle à 250 indicateurs au cours du septième cycle actuel et est devenue une source importante de données sur la protection de l'enfance et l'éducation de la petite enfance et une source majeure de données sur la santé et la nutrition des enfants. Dans le cadre des efforts mondiaux visant à développer davantage les capacités nationales de production et d’analyse de données de haute qualité et désagrégées, l'UNICEF a lancé la septième série des MICS en 2023. Ce nouveau cycle est en accord avec la liste des indicateurs des Objectifs de Développement Durable approuvés par la Commission de statistique des Nations Unies en 2016, à la suite de l'adoption mondiale des 17 ODD et des 169 objectifs de l’Agenda pour le Développement Durable de 2030.
The Supply and Logistics Associate performs highly skilled work on UNICEF supply chains, and manages the more complex cases and client requests, which frequently requires the evaluation of difficult situations and adaptation of procedures and processes to resolve such cases. This is the senior GS level for specialized supply chain work and requires advanced specialized knowledge acquired through formal training and experience. UNICEF Belize is seeking a qualified Public Health Communication Consultant to support the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) in finalizing the Belize Rotavirus Vaccine Introduction Plan and developing communication strategies to enhance uptake of the rotavirus and measles vaccines. The consultant will conduct a technical review of the draft plan, lead consultations, and finalize strategic documents. They will also design and produce four training demonstration videos illustrating the Announcement Approach to strengthen health worker communication with caregivers. The consultancy is home-based and expected to be completed over 3 months.
Under the supervision of the Country Representative, implement country office emergency preparedness and response. Responsible for the technical contribution to the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the emergency interventions to advance the survival and well-being of children and mothers and affected communities in an emergency situation.
Under the supervision of the UNICEF Rio de Janeiro Field Office and in close coordination with the Child Protection team, the consultant will support the implementation of UNICEF’s child protection agenda in contexts affected by armed violence, particularly by (1) providing technical inputs to two studies conducted by implementing partners (on early childhood immunization and child mobility), (2) contributing to the systematization of UNICEF’s internal learning and technical note on violence prevention, (3) organizing a civil society engagement meeting, (4) supporting the inauguration of the Child and Adolescent Support Centers (CAAC), (5) reviewing and finalizing methodologies such as the Violence Prevention tool, and the behavior change strategy on corporal punishment, (5) participating in the TEVAC Task Force internal meeting to share Rio-based experiences, and (6) developing strategic recommendations and a final consultancy report summarizing key deliverables and proposed follow-up actions for Child Protection in Rio.
