Despite national guidelines and global commitments, the low coverage and inconsistent quality of PNC services indicate a disconnect between policy and practice. A systematic gap analysis is required to understand where, why, and how PNC services are falling short. This will inform strategic investments, innovations, and improvements that are rooted in evidence and tailored to the Tanzanian context.
The findings from this analysis will support the Ministry of Health, development partners, and implementing actors in designing context-appropriate solutions to ensure that every mother and newborn receives high-quality, timely, and respectful care during the postnatal period.
UNICEF Zimbabwe is inviting applications for a Consulta Construction Engineer to provide oversight and quality assurance for the paving of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) sites and solarisation of the PSA plants at Chinhoyi and Lupane Provincial Hospitals and quality assurance for the construction of three (3) health posts in Chiredzi District, Masvingo Province.
The Monitoring Specialist (Data & Analytics) will:
i) Establish a Monitoring and Information Management (MIM) Hub under the Planning & Monitoring Section to ensure one overall integrated planning, monitoring and data system for the Country Office.
ii) Ensure coordination of an effectively functioning decentralized monitoring system which enables centralization and analysis of programmatic data to inform planning and decision-making, using innovative approaches where possible and as needed.
iii) Ensure quality evidence-based and results-based information is available to meet UNICEF corporate reporting requirements and donor reporting to ensure UNICEF accountability to beneficiaries, Government, donors and other stakeholders.
iv) Coordinate capacity building in monitoring, data and information management for UNICEF Mozambique Sections, Field Offices, Clusters and UNICEF partners.
