They will ensure the technical rigor of UNICEF’s programmes against lead by providing technical guidance, support and quality assurance to ROs/COs, global programme management , global programme support and contribute learnings in support of the Partnership for a Lead-Free Future.
The purpose of this consultancy is to develop operational guidelines for the care of small and sick newborns, including Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) for Somalia. Additionally, the assignment will involve the development of KMC training manuals, job aids, reporting tools, and other resources specifically tailored to the Somali context.
The Individual Consultant is expected to carry out this assignment on a home-based basis.
Under the overall guidance of the UNICEF office in Armenia and the direct supervision of UNICEF Education Specialist, the Consultant (Statistician) will be responsible for quality and timely implementation of the following activities in close cooperation with MoESCS National Analysis Team, OECD experts and other education stakeholders:
1. Run statistical analysis and produce statistical outputs (e.g. figures and tables).
2. Support knowledge mobilization and disseminating the PISA results: help organize seminars, conferences and workshops in collaboration with the MoESCS National Analysis Team.
The purpose of this individual consultancy is to provide technical assistance to establish a clear and sustainable foundation for the CHW supply chain in Tanzania. The outcomes will inform national and subnational planning, guide resource allocation, and support the development of operational tools and processes. Health facility managers at the primary care level — particularly at dispensaries and health centers — will be better equipped to coordinate with CHWs and ensure commodity flow is maintained. Most importantly, CHWs themselves will gain structured guidance and support for managing commodities in their daily work, ultimately leading to more reliable and effective service delivery at the community level.
The consultant will support the Maternal Newborn Adolescent Health Unit on advancing UNICEF’s school and adolescent health agenda under supervision of the Health Specialist (Adolescents, School, Mental Health).
