Unicef Papua New Guinea is looking for a motivated PSEA Specialist who supports the development and preparation of the PSEA programme and is responsible for the management, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of the PSEA programmes/projects within the country programme.
Under the supervision of the Child Protection Specialist, Child Protection Section, the consultant will provide technical support and monitor the multiple implementing partners in the provinces through on-site, real-time activity guidance and technical support to ensure that activities are well harmonised and implemented to achieve the planned targets and results under the same result framework.
The consultancy will monitor and provide support to implementing partners on the ground (in the field) and provide the necessary technical guidance but also attend meetings with implementing partners in the field in schools and communities. The consultant will also serve as a broker, engaging with key gatekeepers and creating alignment on the work of different agencies operating in schools and those in communities.

The purpose of this assignment is to support UNICEF’s Child Poverty Portfolio by advancing the analysis of child poverty. The Social Policy Specialist (Child Poverty) will complete the computation of the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI), strengthen national capacities, and promote data-driven advocacy. The Specialist will provide technical leadership in data analysis and methodological development, while also supporting the development of the MICS Equity Dashboard. In addition, the Specialist will contribute to the production of policy and research communication products. This work aims to enhance the use of data for equity-focused programming, inform national policy dialogue, and ensure the effective dissemination of findings through visualizations, briefs, and accessible knowledge products.
