Afghanistan country office is seeking an Information Management Specialist (Education Cluster), responsible for ensuring IM processes effectively contribute to a well-coordinated, strategic, adequate, coherent, and effective response by participants in the Cluster that is accountable to those who are affected by the emergency. The incumbent is also responsible to enable an efficient and effective response to the humanitarian crisis, the IM Specialist is responsible for leading and managing the collection, analysis, and sharing of information that is essential for the Education Cluster partners to make informed, evidence-based, strategic decisions.
As a Health Specialist, you will lead UNICEF’s work of supporting the Government to strengthen PHC. Working under the overall guidance and supervision of the Chief of Health and Nutrition, the Health Specialist is expected to nurture close collaboration with government partners at the national and sub-national level, UN agencies, private sector, academia and development partners. The Health Specialist will also work closely with the UNICEF South Africa colleagues responsible for Health, Nutrition, HIV/AIDS and other relevant sections to effectively drive the PHC agenda.

This consultant will conduct a comprehensive dietary intake assessment, including developing context-specific food-based recommendations in Cooks Island and Niue. The findings of the assessment are expected to contribute to revising dietary guidelines with meal plans, context-relevant nutrition education counselling content, Social Behavior Change (SBC) interventions as well as inform necessary policy revisions in the long run.
