UNICEF Pacific is in search of a dedicated and proactive local Consultant for Samoa. The purpose of this assignment is to enhance the understanding of the rights of persons with disabilities among key national stakeholders, such as participating UN organizations, government stakeholders, OPDs, and civil society, and additional stakeholders, such as development partners. In doing so, the capacities to implement disability inclusive development approaches in the country and region are strengthened.
UNICEF Supply Division (SD) has identified strengthening national vaccine procurement practices as a key component of its approach to supporting Gavi transitioning and other middle-income countries (MICs) in ensuring sustainable access to and timely supply of affordable vaccines. To this end, UNICEF Supply Division has been supporting countries by facilitating such learning via multiple projects, including hosting the annual Vaccine Procurement Forum (VPF) since 2015, and establishing a community of practice in 2016, to further the aims of the VPPEF by initiating the Vaccine Procurement Practitioners Network (VPPN). VPPN, as a virtual community of practice primarily targeting national stakeholders in the vaccine procurement process, aims towards providing a platform for the continuous exchange of theoretical and practical knowledge, joint learning and collaborative problem-solving. Membership in the VPPN has grown over time as a result of a strategy to gradually include interested vaccine procurement practitioners from additional countries, as well as other relevant stakeholders and experts. Closely
connected to these activities is the e-learning course on strategic vaccine procurement, which provides procurement professionals the background and necessary building blocks to develop a strategic vaccine approach. All three activities are part of the overall work VC is working on to support countries to strengthen their vaccine procurement processes, ensuring access to affordable, quality assured vaccines for children. To support this effort, the consultant will support increasing visibility of the key materials for procurement strengthening activities including the VPF, VPPN, and the E-course on strategic vaccine procurement. The consultant will also support increasing visibility of other VC’s key materials such as VC standard slide deck, which is not limited to its procurement strengthening work but covering overall VC’s key activities and updates.
The consultant will work within the PPD IFIs Team to provide technical assistance to country offices on specific World Bank financed projects as well as develop tools to support enhanced operational partnerships with World Bank. Overall, the work of the consultant will contribute to the implementation of the UNICEF IFI Action Plan which is a global plan outlining areas requiring increased internal focus to build capacity and support offices.
The UNICEF Country Office Development and Support (CODAS) section within Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP) in Geneva, Switzerland, is seeking a Digital Fundraising Specialist to carry out specific fundraising support in addition to supporting testing in MENA, ESA, ECA and WCA regions.
This role will be critical for Country Offices, new markets, and Clusters to deliver tests and develop on their digital plans and targets. The incumbent will work directly with the CODAS, PFP Teams, and Cluster and Country Office (CO) PSFR teams as well as the digital agencies managing the digital activity.

The Chief of Health is responsible for the overall management and administration of the development, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the health programme in the context of child survival and development within the country programme. Accountable for effective technical leadership, management guidance and programme support to facilitate the application and adaptation of UNICEF policies and strategies to achieve programme goals and the expansion of UNICEF- assisted Health interventions, including the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
As Chief of Section, s/he directs, leads, manages, develops, and enables a competent team of professional and support staff to achieve the strategic goals and objectives of the Health programme, with a view to integrating gender equality and other crosscutting thematic priorities across the country programme. Contributes to create synergistic partnerships, which reinforce partner initiatives’,– including with other UN Agencies – the SDGs’ strategic direction in areas where UNICEF has primary responsibility or comparative advantage, i.e. interrelated areas of maternal, new-born, and child health.Leads internal incident management and public health outbreak coordination and response working closely with other UNICEF sectors, regional office and HQ units.
Works closely, in support of Humanitarian Action, with the Health cluster and other clusters like the WASH cluster, the Inter-Cluster Coordination Group (ICCG) within the inter- agency standing committee (IASC) and HCT coordination architectures.
