UNICEF Chad Country Office is looking for a committed and experienced professional for the post of Finance Specialist at P3 level on Fixed Term contract. The specialist is responsible for providing support to the Deputy Representative Operations in managing, monitoring and overseeing the full range of financial services in support of program and operational activities (i.e. financial planning, disbursements of funds and payments, treasury and accounting, financial analysis and reporting of resources), ensuring compliance of all financial operations with organizational plans, policies, procedures, guidelines, standards of performance, ethics, and integrity.
The Finance Assistant, at the G-5 level, is based in UNICEF Uruguay Country
Office (UCO) and reports to the Finance Officer who is at the NOA level.
The efficiency and efficacy of the Finance Assistant directly impacts on the optimum, appropriate and effective use of resources and efficient financial recording, accounting and reporting, which in turn facilitates management oversight, decision making and quality control

Under the guidance of the Senior Adviser Resource Mobilization, The Finance Manager is responsible for implementing a robust financial strategy for managing the finances of UNICEF’s polio eradication programme, including assessing the financial requirements of the programme, ensuring all approved activities are funded and developing and implementing strategies to improve monitoring and oversight. The Finance Manager ensures that funding proposals are consistent with programme strategies and budgetary ceilings. This staff member also represents UNICEF in several GPEI working groups, serves as Co-Chair of the Financial Management Group with WHO and leads on reporting on financial matters to GPEI senior management. The Finance Manager acts as a liaison between the Polio Programme and the Division of Financial and Administrative Management for all financial and budgetary elements of the Polio Eradication Programme. The Finance Manager also oversees preparation of the GPEI and UNICEF quarterly expenditure reporting as well as financial gaps analysis, building on the GPEI and UNICEF resource mobilization strategy. The post also provides support to regional and country offices for in-country resource mobilization efforts both with private and public sector donors.
The Acquisition Marketing Specialist plays a key role in the Fundraising team, contributing significantly to the development of donor acquisition initiatives under a digital first umbrella that promotes UNICEF's mission and increase donations
