Under the guidance and leadership of Deputy Representative Operations (DRO), you will be accountable for managing and leading the finance and admin team and also guiding operations staff in the field office in delivery of quality results in the areas of finance, administration, accounting, common and local service delivery along with Country Programme, Operation’s work plan, rolling management plan and vision of change and innovation set by the DRO and the Representative. In the day-to-day activities, you will place focus on enhancing support to programme delivery, implementing innovative solutions, taking strategic actions, fostering new partnerships, and optimizing operational processes, ensuring the optimum internal control and oversight function.
You will ensure compliance with UNICEF Financial and Administrative Regulations and Rules, policies, procedures, guidelines, standards of accountability, and ethics in all Admin/ Finance work processes.
Plan, create, and curate social media content, maintain and update editorial calendars, collect and collate multimedia information from different departments.
- Monitor various sources for new content and information about what is happening in and around the UN related to child, adolescent and maternal health
- Create visuals, quote cards and other materials as requested using online tools (such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop).
- Acts as focal point on social media matters, monitoring and reporting on the latest trends and developments, responding to queries, and participating in monitoring and evaluation.
- Attend press conferences and events to gather quotes, take photos and videos which can be used in social media posts.
- Draft posts for Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Research trends and posts from partners and suggest retweets/reposts; monitor the social media accounts for followers' comments and questions.
- Research latest social media trends for the visualization and communication of child health related topics/issues; assist the Office of the Director’s team in researching iconography in the Office's image databases and online using the Office's photo library; research concepts for campaigns and introduce ideas through clear visual and verbal presentations; respond to requests for drafting posts and creating engaging visuals, graphics, videos for the Office's social media channels.
