Le/La consultant(e) sera basé(e) à Siguiri, épicentre de l’épidémie, dans la région de Kankan. Sous la supervision du spécialiste logistique et chaine de froid du programme santé, il/elle travaillera en étroite collaboration avec tous les acteurs impliqués dans les activités d’éradication de la poliomyélite dans leurs régions respectives d’intervention.
Le/la consultant(e) fera en moyenne 15 jours de mission par mois pendant toute la durée du présent contrat.

The DRC CO is looking for a Vaccine Management and Cold Chain Logistics (VMCCL) officer to provide support to national polio team to support the Ministry of Health in DRC and ensure a strategic positioning of UNICEF in SBC component in the major decision-making institutions at provincial level and meetings in the context of the fight against polio in the DRC.
The main objective of the Vaccine Management and Cold Chain Logistic Specialist vaccine management is to support the identified provinces in the capitalization of the acquired knowledge, the transfer of competence in systematic immunization, the preparation and implementation of the logistical activities of polio and other epidemic responses. All these activities will be carried out with the aim of strengthening EPI vaccine management in an integrated manner.
Under the general guidance of the West Area Field Office Chief and technical guidance from the SBC Section, and in close coordination with Sectoral and Cross-Sectoral Specialists and Officers, contributes to/responsible for the design, management, monitoring and evaluation of evidence-based, inclusive and innovative SBC strategies in support of the country programme. The Officer will be based in El Geneina and will provide support to the whole of West Area.
