The MICS (Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys) Programme is seeking a remote-based consultant to support MICS data processing activities specifically in the Pacific region. This consultancy will provide targeted technical assistance to the MICS data processing teams in Tonga, Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Kiribati, Samoa, and Tuvalu, each of which is conducting MICS this or next year. The consultant will offer both on-site and remote support to the technical teams at the National Statistical Offices in these countries.
The Legal Affairs Specialist will give recommendations and advice on a wide range of organizational activities and interests, and concern, among other things, the interaction of UNICEF with governments and other key partners as well as on strategic initiatives across UNICEF. This support helps UNICEF to take advantage of opportunities as well as safeguard the organization from risk. The Legal Team aims to identify and mitigate exposure to potential liability and financial loss, to safeguard the ability of the organization to be accountable to its stakeholders, and to preserve credibility as well as funding from member states and other donors, both public and private.
The People and Culture Officer reports to the People and Culture Specialist for close guidance, training and supervision. The Officer provides support to the supervisor and colleagues in the unit by executing HR services through applying knowledge of theoretical HR models, as well as understanding of organizational HR policies and procedures.
Under the guidance and supervision of the senior adviser, the incumbent focuses on expanding GHTF by engaging key governmental and institutional donors, securing multi-year commitments, and ensuring GHTF remains a leading and impactful funding tool for addressing crises.
