The MNS includes an expanded set of micronutrient biomarkers assessments among women of reproductive age (WRA) and children under the age of five years – including Iron, vitamin A, vitamin D, folate, vitamin B12, and inflammatory markers; and at the population level, an assessment of the coverage of fortified foods (salt, edible oil, wheat, and maize flour). The MNS will provide critical data to inform national strategies, policy decisions, and programmatic interventions to prevent and reduce micronutrient deficiencies
