| UNICEF Brazil is welcoming highly qualified candidates to apply for the position of Accounts Associate (Accounting & Budget), based in Brasília. In this role you will be strengthening UNICEF Brazil’s financial management by supporting budget control, grant allocation and monitoring, contributions management, payroll allocation, and accounting accuracy. You will ensure timely and compliant allocation and rephasing of grants, accurate reconciliation of financial data across global systems, and reliable financial reporting to support evidence based decision making.
In this position, you will work closely with programme colleagues, finance peers, and Headquarters to maintain sound financial controls, support mid year and year end account closures, and contribute to audit readiness in line with UNICEF financial rules and regulations. You will also provide guidance to programme and operations staff on finance related matters, support payroll funding and cost distribution processes, and assist in the development of dashboards and analytical tools that enhance transparency and accountability. You will also be responsible for the digitalization of the budget and allocation local processes to adhere to UNICEF global tools and providing accurated and automated financial data.

| The purpose of this assignment is to develop a holistic WASH Sector Financing Strategy that aligns with Somalia’s
WASH national policy commitments and/or Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6) aspirations. The WASH Financing Strategy will define clear set out approaches on how the WASH
sector will finance its overall programmatic and operational and capital investment to achieve aspects to meet the sector’s objectives in the medium to long-term (10 years for
medium/20 years long term) It will serve as a roadmap for securing diversified, predictable and sustainable funding strengthening for WASH sector, while enhancing government
leadership in domestic resource mobilization, and leverage additional investments through partnerships and innovative financing models, while ensuring equity, efficiency, and climate
