They will be required to:
a) Create a database of all the commentators as a numerical index.
b) Assess and consider substantive comments on the R3337 Draft Labelling Regulations for capturing in the provided Template 1.
c) Collate substantive comments in line with the different sections of the R3337 Draft Labelling Regulations using the provided Template 2.
d) Capture and collate, according to sections of the draft regulations, questions received by commentators onto the provided Template 3.
e) Perform other tasks that may be required in relation to R3337 Draft Labelling Regulations.
Under the supervision of the Nutrition Manager, the consultants will provide their technical expertise in research and evaluation of scientific studies in relation to the comments received to expedite the review process on the R3337 Draft Labelling Regulations.
Consultants will work very closely with the National Department of Health, Food Control Directorate in executing their tasks and the deliverables. This will include briefing and consultative meetings with the technical managers within the Directorate and other stakeholders that the consultants may be required to engage with. • Evaluate the data/studies submitted as part of comments received from the publication of the draft regulations.
• Determine if the data/ studies submitted are relevant and justify consideration when assessing the comments received.
• Assist in providing evidence-based responses to the data/studies submitted.
Under the supervision of the Nutrition Manager, the consultant will assist the Department of Health with the verification and quality assurance of the comments received on the R3337 Draft labelling Regulations.
The Department is in the process of consolidating the comments received on these regulations. It is against this background that the Department seeks the service of an auditor to perform the following tasks:
- Audit companies/organizations/commentators that have submitted comments.
- Audit all substantive comments captured on the provided template.
- Audit all substantive comments collated on the provided template.
- Audit all non-substantive comments captured on the provided template.
- Perform other tasks that may be required in relation to R3337 Draft Regulations.
Towards external knowledge management, the consultant will work to (a) provide quarterly updates to DGCA on any changes to content on unicef.org; (b) development and management of select external communication portals, including Knowledge at UNIC hosted by DAPM.
