The purpose of this consultancy is to provide technical support to the Provincial Education Authorities and partners in the development, implementation, and monitoring of evidence-based education programme activities that advance the objectives of the UNICEF Papua New Guinea Education Programme.
Under the supervision of Chief of Health and Nutrition and in collaboration with other relevant programme colleagues, responsible for the design, formulation, management, execution, monitoring and evaluation of a behavioral change and social mobilization strategy, plan of action and programme activities in support of the SBC component of the country programme.
The consultant will design and implement a mixed-methods evidence synthesis that reviews UNICEF’s WASH systems strengthening support in a select number of countries. The assignment will analyze how support has been delivered, what outputs were produced, what changes in systems and service outcomes are plausibly linked to UNICEF support, and what lessons should shape UNICEF’s future systems strengthening off
The ongoing Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak in DRC poses a significant cross-border risk to Rwanda. UNICEF Rwanda, in line with the Government-led preparedness approach, is supporting national efforts to strengthen Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and infection prevention and control (IPC) systems to prevent and respond to a potential outbreak. Current priorities include strengthening IPC in healthcare facilities, scaling up WASH services, enhancing community-based preparedness, and ensuring continuity of essential services. Education Cannot Wait (ECW) is looking for a highly motivated Programme Specialist (Safeguarding) to support and strengthen ECW’s safeguarding work across its global humanitarian education portfolio. Under the general guidance and supervision of the Chief of Education, the incumbent will play a critical role within the Programme Delivery and Quality Team, conducting Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) assessments of partner organizations, managing safeguarding incidents and concerns involving partners, and supporting safeguarding capacity-strengthening initiatives.
