For every child, the right to take the vaccine!

UNICEF is committed to strengthening immunization activities in Pakistan, with a core focus on supply chain, cold chain, and vaccine management. Over the past three years, Pakistan has made significant strides in enhancing its Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) supply chain, which proved critical support during the immediate rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Key achievements include the implementation of recommendations from the Effective Vaccine Management Assessment (EVMA) in 2019, the introduction of novel technologies to ensure vaccine security and extensive capacity building for the workforce and EPI managers at all levels.

As we look ahead to the new immunization portfolio for 2025 to 2028, supported by UNICEF's Country Programme Management (CPM) and GAVI's Health System Strengthening (HSS3), supply chain management, climate-positive approaches, logistics, waste management, and vaccine management will remain major areas of investment. To maintain and build upon these achievements, the program requires the most qualified and experienced staff members to lead and support these critical initiatives.
