| The Consultant will support UNICEF in coordinating education sector actors and liaising with the Ministry of National Education to ensure coherent and aligned education responses. The role will focus on supporting the gradual transition of coordination mechanisms to government leadership through structured planning and documentation. The Consultant will also act as UNICEF focal point for the Polish as a Second Language (PSL) task team, facilitating coordination and technical exchanges among stakeholders.
The Consultant will also lead UNICEF’s work on volunteering and youth engagement in the education sector, promoting meaningful and inclusive participation of adolescents and young people. This will include coordinating volunteering initiatives, supporting youth participation mechanisms, and working with partners to develop practical guidance and tools that strengthen youth engagement in education‑related activities.
A key role is also to serve as UNICEF’s focal point for engagement with local government counterparts, supporting coordination at subnational level. The assignment will focus on identifying and documenting effective education models and supporting their replication and scale‑up in alignment with national education policies and standards.
Lastly, the consultancy will also focus on coordinating and supporting the pre‑service teacher training partnership with the University of Silesia, ensuring effective planning, monitoring, and reporting. This will include developing work plans and timelines, track implementation progress, and preparing progress and financial reports. |
