UNICEF Cambodia seeks to engage a highly qualified National Multimedia Specialist Consultant to support its strategic communication, advocacy, resource mobilization, and public engagement priorities in 2027. The consultant will play a key role in producing innovative, high-quality multimedia content that amplifies the voices of children and young people, showcases the impact of UNICEF-supported programmes, strengthens digital engagement, supports fundraising and partnership efforts, and enhances UNICEF's visibility across digital, social media, and traditional communication platforms. Working closely with the Communication Team and programme sections, the consultant will lead the development of highquality visual and multimedia products, including photography, videography, digital storytelling, social media content, publications, campaign materials, and branded visibility assets. These products will support UNICEF Cambodia's communication, advocacy, and resource mobilization objectives by highlighting programme results, amplifying the voices of children and young people, and increasing public engagement across digital and traditional platforms.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have...
Minimum requirements:
Education: Bachelors Degree incommunications, Journalism, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Digital Media, Film Production, Mass Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or another relevant field
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in communications, multimedia production, graphic design, photography, videography, digital storytelling, or visual content development.
• At least 3 years of experience in communication and graphic design, with a strong command of professional graphic design software.
• At least 3 years of experience in digital media production, including video production, photography, post-production, and multimedia content development, supported by a portfolio of relevant work samples.
• Demonstrated experience in developing high-quality communication materials, including videos, publications, photo essays, digital assets, branding materials, and social media content.
• Experience in website content management, including regularly updating content with appropriate captions, metadata, and descriptions in accordance with organizational standards and guidelines.
• Proven experience producing visual and multimedia content for digital and social media platforms.
• Experience working with development organizations, NGOs, UN agencies, media organizations, or private sector communication firms is an asset
Skills: Strong photography and videography skills, including experience operating DSLR and professional camera equipment.
• Proficiency in multimedia production and editing using Mac and PC platforms, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or equivalent software.
• Strong visual storytelling and content development skills, including the ability to produce human-interest stories, photo essays, videos, and multimedia packages.
• Knowledge of social media content creation, digital engagement strategies, and emerging communication trends.
• Experience managing multimedia assets, digital archives, and content management systems.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs within tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, creativity, and brand consistency.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
• Strong results orientation, with the ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in Khmer and English, both written and spoken.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Desirables:
• Previous experience working with UNICEF, UN agencies, international organizations, or development partners.
• Experience supporting advocacy, fundraising, donor visibility, public engagement, and behaviour change communication campaigns.
• Experience producing content related to child rights, education, health, nutrition, climate change, disability inclusion, youth engagement, social protection, or emergency response.
• Familiarity with UNICEF branding guidelines, ethical storytelling standards, child safeguarding principles, informed consent procedures, and the WeShare platform.
• Experience providing technical review and quality assurance of multimedia products developed by external vendors and consultants.
