Under the direct supervision of the Representative, the Emergency and DRR Officer will support the implementation of UNICEF Belize’s emergency preparedness, response interventions, and disaster risk reduction (DRR) initiatives. The incumbent will contribute to planning, implementation, capacity building, monitoring, evaluation, and overall coordination of humanitarian interventions to advance the survival and well-being of children, mothers, and affected communities in emergency settings. The officer will represent UNICEF on the United Nations Emergency Technical Team and provide advice to the Crisis Management Team on national needs requiring UNICEF sectoral intervention.
