Inclusive Assessment Consultant, Kathmandu, Nepal, 8 months, Nationals only, Remote with travel in Nepal
Nepal's commitment to inclusive education, the School Education Sector Plan (SESP), and broader efforts to improve foundational learning create an important opportunity to strengthen the inclusiveness of early grade learning assessments. This includes reviewing assessment tools, administration procedures, accommodations, language-related considerations, data collection approaches, and reporting practices to ensure that assessments generate valid, reliable and equitable information on learning outcomes across different learning groups, including children with disabilities and speakers of other languages. To support this effort, UNICEF is hiring a consultant to provide technical expertise on disability-inclusive and linguistically responsive assessment practices and develop recommendations, tools, and guidance to strengthen the inclusiveness of early grade learning assessments.
