Local Consultancy: Technical assistance to the Department of Health for IMNCI Manuals Update in Philippines
If you are a committed and analytical public health professional with experience in child health and health systems, UNICEF Philippines invites you to apply as Consultant for Integrated Management of Newborn and Childhood Illnesses (IMNCI) Manual Updating and Capacity Building) under the Health Section. The consultant will support the Department of Health (DOH) in updating the IMNCI Manual and strengthening training protocols in line with national guidelines and evolving health needs. The role includes conducting stakeholder consultations and a landscape analysis to identify opportunities for integrating community-based IMNCI through Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs). Working closely with DOH and partners, the consultant will help enhance service delivery and capacity of health workers at the primary health care level. This assignment contributes to improving quality, equitable health services and reducing childhood morbidity and mortality in line with national priorities.

To concretise the GenU approach in South Africa and shift towards actionable plans, the services of a consultant are required. The consultant will lead the integration of a local university’s entrepreneurship training content into the Youth Agency Marketplace (YOMA) digital platform to scale youth access to entrepreneurship training. This includes content assessments, cost–impact analysis and negotiating partnership terms (subject to agreement). The role also involves brokering partnerships across private, public and civil society sectors to build a pipeline of gig and work opportunities for the YOMA impact marketplace and developing incentives to encourage opportunity listings. In addition, the consultant will support project management and coordination for the broader project.
